Apicectomy
Apicectomy or apical resection of the tip of the tooth root is a process of resection of the tip of the tooth root which helps to remove the infectious process from the tip of the tooth root and its surroundings.
In cases where the patient's infection caused by caries penetrates into the root canal of the tooth, it can progress toward the tip of the tooth and pass into the surrounding bone where the infectious process occurs.
The goal of apicectomy is to remove the residual infection in the region of the top of the tooth root, in cases where it is impossible to do this with root canal treatment or endodontics.
At the Dentonio dental practice, we successfully and painlessly perform tooth apicectomies.
